Canopus understands and recognises the important work that is done through the work of charities in the UK and throughout the world. We currently work with a number of partners supplying computers for education, small businesses and health units in the world's poorest areas. We also work on projects close to home providing IT equipment to UK charities who need the support most.
By donating your redundant IT assets to Canopus we can provide a cost-effective means of meeting your ethical IT disposal obligations. Canopus will collect, data wipe and refurbish working high spec items and we will environmentally recycle low spec and non-working equipment.
If you are a charity or school and require IT equipment, please contact us on our general enquiries number to see how we could help you.
If you have any redundant IT equipment and would like to dispose of it, please contact our General Enquiries number 0844 412 7532 to arrange a suitable time for delivery.
Canopus and Age UK working together to provide PC’s to the elderly.
Together with Age UK and Sainsbury’s, Canopus helped launch a long awaited project to deliver PC’s to the elderly. The project has involved refurbishing and deploying over 200 complete pc solutions to the elderly throughout the London area this will soon be extended to 400. This is a large project and has been in development for nearly 12 months.
The long awaited campaign was launched successfully on Monday 13th June at the Age UK office’s in Walthamstow. Volunteers came to help unload PC’s from all companies involved, a special thank you has to go to Russell Coppock and Grant Cooper who were volunteers from Canopus.
However there were many people involved in making this project work so seamlessly, Rebecca Fan our UK Corporate Manager, Kim Martin and Will Manning Ross our Manager and deputy manager of the warehouse, John Sutherland our Engineering Manager to name but a few, thanks to you all for the hard work you put in.
The project has been an important one for Canopus as it demonstrates what can be done with re lifed PC’s and the value it offers to others who are either housebound or have little income as communication with loved ones and the outside world is a vital part of our society . We hope to continue this work with other charity’s as well as continuing to provide pc’s for Age UK.
Other charity donations have included supplying printers to local schools and the NBFA.
